Get Pure Water From the Bottled Water Industry

The bottled water industry has to conform to strict regulations and standards set down by the FDA. Even the labels that are put on bottled water are carefully inspected to make sure they do not deceive or mislead the public. For example, if the label says "spring water", then the water in the bottles must come from a spring - an opening in the earth from which the water flows naturally. If the water comes from a well drilled near the spring, the water has to continue to flow from the spring at the same time.

Big business in a little bottle

There has been a dramatic bottled water industry growth since the public has become more health conscious and want to make sure that their drinking water is pure. Much of this has come from illnesses caused by impure water when sewage leaks into systems or lead in older pipes has caused people to become ill. This industry has become big business and there are many companies that bottle water for sale.

Bottled water delivery is a booming business!

Most of the bottled water that is sold in the United States actually comes from municipal water supplies. The water goes through many different filtration systems, such as:

• Reverse osmosis
• Deionization
• Carbon treatments
• Many other quality processes

Don't judge the quality by the pictures on the label!

This water is packaged as "purified" or "treated" water. If there is no significant alteration in the water, then the label has to state that it comes from a municipal source. You really have to read the labels to find out where the bottled water comes from. Some of the pictures on the bottles give you the impression that the water comes from melting snow and sparkling mountain springs, when in fact it does not.

The word "natural" can only be used on bottled water that comes from natural springs where the natural trace elements have not been changed in any way by treatments.
